Jerome Alhage is a PhD student working on data science in the field of fusion energy. He obtained his masters of science in electrical engineering in 2018, and worked in consumer electronics design and firmware development for two years. He completed a master’s degree in data science in 2020, working in public sector studies before starting his PhD in 2021.

Part of research unit nuclear fusion, his activities at the infusion group are focused on studying edge-localized modes (ELMs), a type of instability occurring in fusion plasmas, using statistics, probability theory and machine learning. His main areas of expertise are anomaly detection and classification problems.

Jerome is skilled in programming and software development, mainly in Python and C. He enjoys problem solving, automation, and creative tasks. His hobbies are computers, cooking, and Dota 2.
