The goal of the Belgian Fusion Day, organized in Ghent in May 2022, was to bring together students, researchers and educators in the field of fusion science and technology in Belgium. Representatives from the Belgian institutes with activities in fusion gave an overview of the latest research and alumni talked about their career in and outside of fusion. This was followed by a talk about schools outreach in the Fusion Show, a virtual tour of the ITER construction site and a debate about the role of nuclear energy and fusion in sustainable energy supply in Belgium and the world.
