On the occasion of Hao Wu's PhD defense, Dr. Didier Mazon from CEA Cadarache gave a talk at infusion. Herein, Dr. Mazon presented the state-of-the-art in determining the concentration of tungsten heavy impurities in fusion plasmas, based on measurements of soft X-ray radiation. This is an important topic of collaboration between CEA Cadarache, where the WEST tokamak is operated, and the infusion group. We use Bayesian inference for estimating the tungsten concentration and its uncertainty from multiple diagnostics.
